Our Elders

Here at the Conyers Church of Christ, we are fortunate to have elders who oversee our congregation as directed by the Word of God. Elders have the responsibility of guiding and leading the congregation members, overseeing the work of the congregation, and seeing that the congregation adheres to the directions given by Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

It is the responsibility of the elders to encourage, lead and support the members of the congregation; likewise, it is the responsibility of the individual members to support the eldership through submission to God's Word, cooperation within the church body, and perform the duties assigned to them by the elders in a respectful, timely and professional manner. We thank these good men for their service and dedication to the congregation.

Our ministers at the Conyers Church of Christ are highly-educated, well-trained teachers and dedicated speakers with a gift for presenting the Word in an appropriate manner. Our ministers conduct private Bible studies as well as counseling for newcomers to the church.

At the Conyers Church of Christ, our deacons share the responsibility of the day-to-day workings and ongoing projects of our congregation. Each of our deacons heads up a program or area of our congregation and our ministries, and the deacons work closely together with our elders and our ministers to make sure things are running smoothly, all needs are met, and all necessary work is done.
