Adult and Teenage Education

Adult and Teenage Education

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV)
As students of God's Word, learning must continue throughout life and not end with elementary Sunday School (Philippians 3:8-14). The adults and teenagers of the Conyers Church of Christ meet each Sunday and Wednesday to share knowledge of God's Word and to edify one another unto love and good works (Hebrews 10:24-25). Through these regular studies, we attempt to draw closer to God. We encourage all members and visitors to study regularly with us.
It is the intent of the education program at the Conyers Church of Christ to provide members with diverse studies of God's Word in multiple formats and delivery methods. To this end, we attempt to provide to all students both textual and topical classes taught by well prepared teachers of God's Word.
On Sunday mornings, adults are following the Gospel Advocate Company's Foundations curriculum. The current study, "Mysteries in Daniel," enhances students' knowledge through an examination of the Book of Daniel. The middle and high schoolers are studying Eric Owens' book, So You Want to Be Happy.
On Wednesday evenings, the adults are studying about holiness. Students in the high school and middle school classes are enhancing their respect for proper worship through a study of Dan Chambers book, Showtime.
The elders and deacons at the Conyers Church of Christ have created a three year plan for adult educaton to aid members and visitors in better understanding the topics that will be studied.
