The Purpose of the Education Program at the
CONYERS CHURCH OF CHRIST

The Elders at Conyers desire to carry out the charge given to the church to “teach them all things whatsoever I commanded you” Matthew 28:20. Following Jesus’ admonition to the head of the Church, our mission is to teach all students about God, encourage obedience to the gospel, nurture all Christians and help us all live for Jesus each day as we grow in the knowledge of “The Truth”. We will accomplish our goal by ensuring that each of our students is engaged in a structured program. Learning will always be the responsibility of the learner. Our work assists parents in their responsibility as teachers at home. The program of education is designed for all students of the Bible and that includes adult students.

Lessons for the Fall 2008
It is the desire of the elders at Conyers to educate the young people so they can meet the challenges that they will face now and after they leave home; this material helps the parents teach their children of the challenges and the temptations of life. We encourage the parents to use the Bible school to reinforce what they teach their children at home; therefore, parents must make every effort to use this tool to help them teach their children to be Christians and live the Christian life. To best use this tool, parents should to make sure their children do their class assignments and to attend Bible classes.

Our teachers use this material as a guide. They realize that just reading the material in class is not enough for the student to understand and participate enthusiastically. It takes preparation and zeal to teach so that young people will want to go to the classes.

The Material is from the 21st Century Christian Curriculum
