We appreciate your interest in Rockdale Christian Camp. This year’s camp runs from June 16 - 21 at the group camp in Indian Springs State Park in Flovilla, Georgia. It is open to youth from 8 yr. (by June 1st) to 12th grade. Children will be grouped according to age with approx. 8 campers and 1 counselor per cabin. Rockdale Christian Camp is under the oversight of the Elders of the Conyers Church of Christ.

The cost of camp will be $75.00 due by June 3 to secure your child’s spot. Camp payments are non-refundable two weeks before camp. Cost includes T-shirt and camp photo. Make check payable to Conyers Church of Christ Youth Account and return to: Rockdale Christian Camp, c/o Conyers Church of Christ, 1410 Flat Shoals Road, Conyers, Georgia 30013, Attention: Jeff Johnson.  Fill out the registration and health information sections completely and return forms with your payment. We must have completed forms in order for each child to participate.

Camp Rules

• Each camper is expected to follow and participate in the camp program as outlined by the directors.

• Campers will remain on camp premises unless instructed by a Camp Director.

• No form of tobacco, alcohol, or drugs will be allowed.

• No knives or other weapons are permitted.

• Christian conduct and language are expected at all times.

• Campers are responsible for keeping beds, cabins, and showers clean.

• Appropriate modest apparel. No short shorts or tank tops.

• All visitors must check in with a Camp Director.

A Typical Day:

Arrival Time:

After 5 to 6 PM Monday, June 16

Departure Time:

By 8:30AM, Saturday, June 21 (Please be prompt)

Clothing:

Plainly marked with camper’s name. Modest dress is a must to promote the proper Christian attitudes. Shorts must reach the end of the middle finger when arms are held at the side. No tank tops. Bring enough clothing for 6 days. Comfortable play shoes will be needed. No one will be allowed to go barefoot.

What To Bring:

Bible, pen or pencil, small notebook, flashlight, sleeping bag or sheets and blanket, pillow, towels, wash cloths, soap, sandals for shower, toothpaste and brush, shampoo, comb, swimsuit (modest), robe, insect repellent, bag for dirty clothes, raincoat, camera, film for camera. Campers will not need to bring money to camp. RCC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Rules:

Campers are expected to follow all rules as outlined and acknowledged in this registration packet. Parents, review these rules before bringing your child to camp. Campers will show proper respect for camp staff at all times. Unacceptable behavior will result in loss of camp privileges up to and including early pick-up by parents.

Emergencies:

In case of emergency call Indian Springs at 770-775-4601. Please limit calls to emergencies only as we have a very busy schedule planned for camp.

Important:

Make sure to indicate school grade during the upcoming 2007-2008 school year. Every effort is made to place campers by class grade, however this is dependent upon # campers at each grade level.  Some groups may be split to balance the number of campers per cabin.

From Conyers, take GA Hwy 20 S to GA Hwy 212 W, proceed Hwy 212 to GA Hwy 36. Turn right on Hwy 36 South to Jackson. Proceed south on GA Hwy 42 to the park.

From I-75 southbound, take exit #205 to Jackson; proceed south on GA Hwy 42 to the park. From I-75 northbound, take exit #188; proceed north on GA Hwy 42. Park is approximately 15 miles from exits.

NOTE: Turn at the caution light off Hwy 42 south of the park entrances. The camp will then be about 1 mile straight ahead. Follow the signs.
